Rhea's first day at school

Hi all, I know its been a long time since I updated this site. Was busy with school now starting . Rhea started her new school this year at J.B.Vachha on 19th June 2009 . She is now in nursery. The initial few days as usual were a little difficult for her to adjust. Suddenly going to a big school was quite a change from the small play group she had earlier attended. But after a few days she was ok. Thats one good thing about her ,that she adjusts very fast anywhere. The teacher says she is very friendly and is doing good. I am so very proud of her. I had tears in my eyes seeing her in her new uniform for the first time . Time flies so fast. It was just yesterday I had got this little bundle home from the hospital and now she is in school already !!!!!!

Hi Everybody my name is Furzeen and I am a proud mother of a 3yr old mischievous little girl Rhea.

I had and yet have a passion for animals . Earlier when I was in college I never liked kids and preferred animals to them. I always wondered what it would be like if humans had the option of giving birth to animals of their choice instead of babies. My parents jokingly used to say they would get me married off to either a zoo keeper, a forest officer or a vet since I like animals so much.

I always thought kids where a big pain in the butt and very noisy and inquisitive and troublesome. I never imagined having one till I did.

Pregnancy was a breeze except for the first 3mths of vomiting and nausea that most women go thru. I never had any cravings and wondered how others had them. Rhea was a full term baby. On the last day of my check up with the doc he told me to get admitted the next day as he felt the kid was full term and now needed to come out. The next day I got admitted in the evening and he decided to induce labour next day in the morning and  and said I should get an NST (non-stress test) done for the baby. In the test the baby’s heart beats were becoming faster so they decided to induced labour soon. My labour pains lasted for 8hrs. It was extremely painful. I had asked for an epidural injection but the hospital staff could not find any epidural expert available at that time of the night. My husband was scared to break this news to me as he thought I would be very upset. I was asking them to do a c-section as the pain was too much.Atlast my doc managed to rop in an epidural expert and after that it was all ok. I didnt feel the pain and Rhea just slipped out without me even knowing.

When I held her for the first time I then realized how wonderful babies are.
